Exposed To The World!
My clumsy walk and those beautiful hands,
My red grade cards and a pat on my back,
Their serious discussions and real experiences,
Introduced me to a life full of fake performances.
They taught me how to ignore the shit,
Decide when is the right time to quit,
Keeping my head high and follow my brain,
Embracing the love without a complaint.
One day, they exposed me to the real world,
Leaving my hand and let me fall in the mud,
I tried hard to stand up alone,
Struggled to cross the love milestone.
Today I am a strong single woman,
Creating my own ways and opinions,
I will take care of you Mom & Dad,
I promise… I’ll keep my love for you intact. 🙂
